30 years of iriedaily

Happy birthday to us! In 2024 we celebrate 30 years of IRIEDAILY! Three decades characterized by visions, DIY spirit, challenges and, of course, authentic streetwear. IRIEDAILY is more than just a Berlin streetwear brand - it is a story of friendship, personal responsibility, respect and the tireless endeavor to stay true to the DNA "STAY DIFFERENT".

In 1990, the first foundation stone for IRIEDAILY was laid by the screen printing company WARD PRODUCTIONS, founded by Walter Molt, Achim Probst, Roland Wagner and Daniel Luger. Following the principles of DIY (DO IT YOURSELF), they learned how to work with textiles and T-shirt printing for the first time and passionately produced band merchandise for Berlin bands such as Jingo de Lunch, Plan B and Einstürzende Neubauten.

In 1994, the production of third-party merchandise was discontinued and the growing idea of creating their own streetwear style was pursued. The IRIEDAILY founders around Daniel Luger, Roland Wagner and Walt Molt were joined by street artist Jaybo Monk as art director, whose unmistakable handwriting had a significant influence on the face of IRIEDAILY over the years.

Sustainable growth has always been important to the company owners and in this way IRIEDAILY has survived various crises in the textile industry unscathed and is on a solid footing with a loyal fan base. The brand is now sold in over 400 stores in 15 countries. There is a men's and a women's collection as well as numerous accessories that range between streetwear, sportswear and street fashion. Over the last 30 years, the company has grown to more than 40 permanent employees, many of whom have been on board since the early years.

A brand needs a logo! A logo not only helps to increase recognition value, but in the best case also reflects the philosophy and principles of the brand. And this is exactly the case with the IRIEDAILY flag logo: our motto "The Word is mightier than the Sword" is symbolized by a feather lying over a sword. The logo could not express our philosophy better, because for IRIEDAILY it is clear that the fair and peacefully spoken word should always be preferred as a means of conflict and that violence must not be given a chance. Creativity is a great way to combat injustice and prejudice.

The logo also combines the IRIEDAILY lettering in the former "no matter" design. If you take a closer look, you can see the almost historical glyph logo above the last letter, which has been at the start of IRIEDAILY since the very beginning. Do you recognize the initials ID in the glyph logo?
Of course, the year IRIEDAILY was founded should not be missing from the logo - "Est. 1994" marks the beginning of over 30 years of the finest streetwear from Berlin!
