May 1st is just around the corner! There's always a lot going on in Berlin on "Labor Day" and on Walpurgis Night beforehand - whether on the streets or at events. We've put together a few tips for you here!

If you want to experience something on May 1st, the area around Mariannenplatz in Kreuzberg is the place to be. Even though the legendary Myfest no longer exists in its old form, experience shows that there is always something going on in the area. Between Mariannenplatz, Heinrichplatz and Oranienplatz, there's music, political actions by the Left Party and plenty of street vibes. Admission is free, so just drop by and enjoy the holiday!

On May 1, 2025, the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) is calling for nationwide rallies under this year's motto "Make yourself strong with us!" as it does every year. In Berlin, the central demonstration will start at 11 a.m. at Karl-Marx-Allee/Pariser Kommune and move to the Rotes Rathaus, where the main rally with speeches, music and hands-on activities will take place from 12 noon. The keynote speaker will be Andrea Kocsis, deputy chairwoman of ver.di . Until 3 p.m., the May Festival in front of the Rotes Rathaus invites you to linger with a colorful family program.
